ロシア連邦のウクライナ侵攻に反対する会長談話
2022年2月24日、ロシア連邦はウクライナに軍事侵攻した。これはウクライナの主権を実力によって侵害しようとする行為であり、背景となる歴史的事情や沿革のいかんにかかわらず、国際法及び国連憲章に違反するものであって、断じて許されない。既にウクライナの市民の生命・財産が蹂躙されており、このような現状は到底看過することができない。
政府は、国際連合及び関係諸国と連携し、当事者間の対話を実現すべく尽力することにより、軍事侵攻の中止・撤退に向けて最善の努力を尽くさなければならない。また、国際社会が連帯してロシア連邦に対する非難を強め、同国の国内世論に働きかけて、事態収束に向けた機運を醸成することも重要である。
１日も早く、ウクライナ、そしてロシア連邦の市民に平和な日常が戻ることを心から願う。

President’s Statement to Protest Against the Invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation
On February 24th, 2022, the Russian Federation launched a military invasion against Ukraine. This is an action to invade the sovereignty of Ukraine by force, which is unacceptable regardless of its historical background or development, as it violates international law and Charter of the United Nations. The lives and properties of Ukraine citizens are already being trampled on, and we cannot overlook such current situation.
Our government must coordinate with the United Nations and related countries, and provide its best efforts towards withdrawal and retreat of military invasion by exerting itself to implement communication among the parties concerned. Also, it is important for the international society to jointly strengthen the condemnation against the Russian Federation and influence the public opinion within such nation to foster the momentum towards the end of this situation.
We sincerely hope that peaceful everyday lives shall return to the citizens of Ukraine and Russian Federation as soon as possible.
